LSO Crisis Support Center (Food Bank) - Since 2019
Since January 2019, LSO has been operating Crisis Support Centers (CSCs) in Bamyan and Daikundi provinces. LSO has established 10 food and grain banks across communities. Over the years, we have provided food assistance packages to more than 3,000 families.
Resilient Agriculture and Livelihood Initiative (REALISE) - AAA, 2019-2021
Under REALISE, LSO supported 6,599 individuals across 35 villages in Panjab and Yakawlang districts of Bamyan province. Key achievements include: 35 Self Help Groups & 35 Reflect Circles established; 53 women & 38 men of Women Headed Association supported; more than 180 members built capacity around tailoring and mobile repairing; farmers accessed higher yielding wheat and potato varieties; two associations strengthened on potato and honey value chains; 82 people attended vocational training centres.
Canal Cleaning in Khawja Do Ko District - UNDP, 2022
The ABADIE project supported safe drinking water through environmental services, improving water supply on health, hygiene, time-saving, and productivity.
Rehabilitation of Degraded Land - UNDP, 2014-2016
Implemented in five villages of Waras District, Bamyan Province. Established NRM Committee, constructed 300 watersheds in 10 hectares, rehabilitated 10 hectares with wild almond and cherry seeds benefiting 500 households.
Construction of Road Project - Volunteer, 2012
Completed with LSO core funding of AFN 480,000 and voluntary contribution of 200 workers, connecting five villages with Nili, capital of Daikundi province.
